Who We Are
The Lake County Church Group is a non-profit organization made up of many churches within Lake County, Ohio.
What We Do
We coordinate with local agencies best able to respond to particular needs, and organize partner churches to help fill those needs when such agencies are unable to help.
In 2010 we provided emergency assistance to over 600 families, more than half of them just during the Holidays.
How we do it
- Clients are referred by churches or other agencies for a specific need.
- We then call the client to obtain any additional information.
- The need is then evaluated and consideration is given as to how we can help.
- Funding comes directly from donations made by area churches, individuals and groups, along with extra company matches.
- Financial assistance is sent directly to the creditor - never to the client.
- Information about contributing churches is included in a final client assistance letter which is mailed to the client
